What are the strong parts of your portfolio?I think I used the contrast and filters well to help add emphasis and create an interesting composition.
Describe and evaluate the attributes of your best photo:My best photo started off as a colorful photo of yellow, orange, and red flowers and a butterfly perched on the middle red flower. When I edited it, the background was all black and white and only the flowers and butterfly have color. I also added a small focal blur to create even more emphasis on the butterfly and flower. Overall, with the color pop and emphasis created to make the photograph more interesting, I believe that that photo is my best..
What do you think the best filter is for editing? Why?I think there isn't really one good filter to use on every single picture. Each picture tells a different story and has different colors and each composition is different. It's only appropriate to say that not only one filter will make every picture look good.
What did you learn from this project that you can apply to others in the future? With this project, I spent too much time trying to make absolutely every picture look perfect and then I'd get frustrated when they didn't. I had to learn to get past the fact that while you can make them look almost as good as you want, they will almost never always turn out exactly how you want.
Is this a worthwhile project?I think it is, I enjoyed getting the chance to manipulate my pictures and make them look cooler. I think that if Mr. Purdy were to do this project next year he should spend more time explaining photoshop and some of the more advanced features on pixlr so people know what they're doing and can get the pictures to look exactly how they want.

What are the weak parts of your portfolio?I didn't finish it in time so I feel like I rushed to get it done. I could've taken more time to make some of the cool features of each photo even cooler.
What do you think is the best editing website/program?I used pixlr on all of my pictures. I did this because it was easier to understand and handle than photoshop. I tried to use picmonkey, but my computer wouldn't load the site. I liked the overlays and filters along with the ways to manipulate the contrast that pixlr offers and I found it to be a nice and easy way to make complicated editing seem simpler.
What do you think was the best way to enhance emphasis, color, value, or contrast? Why?I didn't mess with the value a lot, but in almost all of my pictures I used the contrast feature to brighten the picture a little and to create more definite shadows and highlights. I also liked to use the color splash to make the duller colors black and white and then to make the brighter colors pop. Using both of those features creates emphasis without having to manipulate the picture too much.
Describe the design process of your project:First, I would mess with the vibrance and the contrast if I thought it would make the picture look cooler. Then, sometimes, I'd add a focal blur or a color splash. After that, I'd maybe add a filter. Then I'd add an overlay.
