Pinch PotsMaking pinch pots is a very simple process. All you need to do is take a piece of clay and mold it into a spherical shape. Then, using your thumb, you make a hole in the center of the ball. Using your thumb and forefinger, take the edge of the ball and rotate it, making the opening of the pot the size you want it to be. You need to keep your hands and the clay moist, but not wet, otherwise it will dry out and become cracked. In order to keep the thickness of the walls even, you need to keep the pot turning. When you're done forming the pot, you put it to the side to dry. When its dry, it's called greenware, and you can add patterns to the surface. Then you can fire.
